The Bird and The Bread invites you to ring in the new year with a memorable meal in a stunning setting right in downtown Birmingham. Enoy 3 courses and 3 seatings to ring in 2015 on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014. 
MENU:
1st course (choose one)
  • Crispy Pork Belly with braised greens, maple glaze, sweet potato puree, parsnip chips
  • Winter White Salad with frisee, Belgian endive, shaved fennel, crisp apples, toasted hazelnuts, champagne vinaigrette
  • Lobster Bisque with creme fraiche, chive oil
Main course (choose one)
  • Three Little Birds featuring roasted quail stuffed with fig and foie gras, chicken ballotine, duck sausage, butternut squash puree, roasted Brussels sprouts
  • Filet of Beef with potato gratin, morel mushroom cream, grilled asparagus, black truffle butter
  • Barley Risotto with chanterelle mushrooms, Tuscan kale, balsamic cream, roasted pine nuts
  • Lobster and Scallops featuring butter poached lobster tail, porcini dusted scallops, saffron risotto, bouillabaisse broth, haricot vert

Dessert course (choose one)

  • Chocolate sphere with olive oil genoise, citrus creme Anglaise, mixed berries
  • Blood orange panna cotta – a deep fried bread pudding with poached fruit ribbons
  • Fromage de cabra with apple cider shortbread cookies, brandied quince compote, Marcona almonds

Time and Cost:

  • 4-6 p.m. - $60 per person plus tax and gratuity, the early "bird" special
  • 6:30-8:30 p.m. - $70 per person plus tax and gratuity
  • 9-10 p.m. - $70 per person plus tax and gratuity (This seating only includes a Moet champagne toast, a $15 value)
