This year Bell’s Brewery unleashed the popular slice-of-orange (optional) Oberon the week of March 23rd with a series of brewery sponsored tappings and events. And once again this year if you could be one of the first to try what is described on Bell’s Taproom menu as “wheat malt & bright, citrusy, spicy hop” by staying up late on Sunday, March 22nd for one of the midnight Oberon tappings. This year the Grand Rapids based Uccellos was on the list for official midnight tap releases an I attended the Standale location for my first Oberon of the year.

 Bells Issues Automatic Voluntary Recall For Bottles of Mercury Purchased in specific Michigan counties TH

Bell’s Brewery, Inc. is issuing an automatic, voluntary recall on specific bottles of Mercury: The Winged Messenger which may contain a slight glass defect on the outside lip that could result in small pieces to become dislodged from the bottle.

 Timber Ridge Ski Area is hosting a Brew-Ski Blues Event on Feb. 14th & 15th, featuring Michigan Brews, Skiing and Blues Bands

Timber Ridge Ski Resort located just west of Kalamazoo is hosting a craft beer tasting event. This Friday from 6pm - 10pm and Saturday from 1pm - 4pm with live music starting at 6pm on Friday and Noon on Saturday. You will be able to taste 3 Michigan brewers; Latitude 42 Brewing Co., Bell's Brewery and Griffen Claw Brewing Co.

 The Buck hosts Barrel-Aged Beer Fest on Jan 29th & Jan 30th

The weather forecast for the end of January is still calling for below freezing temperatures. Stay warm and join us at The Buck on January 29th and 30th from 4:00 PM to close for the First Annual Barrel Aged Beer Fest, where the temperature even on the heated, outside deck will be nice and toasty warm. Make sure to mark this event on your calendar, and remember that there is no entry fee.
