Short’s and its distributor representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the beers. Check HopCat.com and your local HopCat’s Facebook page for a detailed lineup.
Short’s and HopCat have a long history of friendship, including two world record tap takeovers and HopCat’s annual birthday celebration for Joe Short, founder and namesake of the Bellaire-based brewery.
“Huma Lupa Licious is my favorite beer, and Joe Short is one of my favorite brewers, so I’m happy HopCat can be the first bar to showcase Short’s as it begins expanding outside Michigan,” said Mark Sellers, founder and CEO of HopCat and its parent company, BarFly Ventures. “Joe’s creations are some of the best, most interesting craft beers in the world.”
"Short's has been on tap continuously at HopCat since they opened in 2008 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's so fitting that they would be a part of our launch outside of the state,” Short said. “I plan to meet Mark for a pint of Huma in every HopCat state."
HopCat’s Michigan locations already carry a selection of Short’s and Starcut drafts. On Jan. 28 Short’s announced it would be expanding its distribution footprint outside of its home state for the first time in its 12-year history.
