HopCat – Broad Ripple to make announcement in support of Indiana craft beer at ceremonial hops planting event Sun King Founder and Brewers of Indiana Guild (B.I.G.) President Clay Robinson to join HopCat founder Mark Sellers at hops-planting event INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Sun King Brewing Co. and HopCat – Broad Ripple will celebrate the season with a special hops-planting event and make a major announcement on at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 12 outside the future home of Indiana’s largest beer bar.
What: Ceremonial hops planting event and special announcement

Who: HopCat founder Mark Sellers, Sun King Brewing Co. co-founder and B.I.G. Clay Robinson and Dave Colt; officials from Keystone Development, the city of Indianapolis and Broad Ripple Village When: 10 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 10 a.m.

Where: HopCat – Broad Ripple, 6280 N. College Ave., Indianapolis, Ind. (corner of College and Broad Ripple avenues in the Broad Ripple Garage & Shoppes) (indoors with hard hats if weather requires)

Photo/video opportunity: Hops planting, brief remarks by Sellers, Robinson and Colt, tours of future home of HopCat – Broad Ripple. One-on-one interviews also will be available. HopCat – East Lansing opened in August 2013. In August of 2014 HopCat – Broad Ripple will open in Indianapolis with Indiana’s largest number of craft beers on draft. HopCat – Detroit will open in October of 2014 with 130 draft lines and a live music venue in the heart of Detroit’s Midtown neighborhood in October.
