The Cranker’s transformation from Coney Island diners to full scale restaurant/breweries is now complete with the installation of bar and brew system at the Mount Pleasant location, the third and final of the three Cranker’s locations to receive the upgrades. Big Rapids was the first location for transformation with full bottling and production facilities also serving as headquarters providing the lion’s share of the beer for the Cutlerville and Mount Pleasant pubs. Lead brewmaster Adam Mills lends his award-winning recipes and oversees big batch brews at Cranker’s HQ as well as very limited small batch releases for the auxiliary pubs.
The Coney Island theme remains at all 3 locations with a Detroit-friendly menu which includes breakfast any time, lunch, and dinner. In addition to a variety of famous coneys, other food options include soup, salads, pitas and wraps, burgers, sandwiches, as well as burritos, nachos and dessert. That’s not all, the dinner menu also features pizza, calzones, and seafood and there is a late night menu to boot with the Mount Pleasant location featuring a kitchen open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (Big Rapids is also open 24 hours most days.)

Up next for Cranker’s, the bottling line in Big Rapids will be expanding to accommodate additional releases. Currently being bottled are the Bulldog Red Irish Ale, 5th Voyage Coconut Porter, and Professor IPA and the brewery expects to add two additional beers (to be determined) to compliment the existing lineup. With 3 locations and beer being served all day and most of the night, nobody has an excuse to pass up the opportunity to try some of the great food and beverage being offered up at their own local Cranker’s restaurant and brewery of choice nearby. Plan your own visit soon!
