Stormcloud Co-Owner Rick Schmitt says the choice to partner with the CLWA is a no-brainer. “Crystal Lake is the 9th largest inland lake in the state of Michigan and its crystal clear water is a treasured and celebrated natural resource to both locals and visitors from across the globe,” says Schmitt. “Since Crystal Lake is located in the city of Frankfort’s ‘backyard’ we’re doing our small part to help ensure Crystal Lake is preserved for future generations while hopefully raising public awareness of this Benzie County resource at the very same time.”
Copies of The Comedy of Crystal Lake, a biography of the infamous Archibald Jones and the story of the lowering of Crystal Lake, by Stacy Daniels, will be available for purchase at Stormcloud during the fundraiser. Proceeds will also benefit the CLWA.
As part of its Stormcloud Builds Community initiative, Stormcloud Brewing Company selects one charitable organization making a difference in northern Michigan to share its message with Stormcloud’s customers and to help raise funding. Recipients are chosen every month during the summer season and quarterly thereafter.
