Sawyer’s Greenbush Brewing Co. To Celebrate 4 Years On June 10th
Every year Sawyer’s Greenbush Brewing Co. has something new to offer. Last year, I stopped in to join the mug club as a lifetime member which is still one of the best deals you’ll find. The kitchen continues to serve some of the best BBQ in the area and the pub draws a good crowd just about any night. I stopped by earlier this year to enjoy lunch and tried a few new taps including the Indispensable IPA and Helmut of Remnar Belgian Strong Ale. I also discovered that Greenbush has expanded into the building across the street and had to stop by after lunch to check out the new Greenbush Annex.

Greenbush celebrates 3-year anniversary with “Friends with Benefits” Mug Club push!
Sawyer’s Greenbush Brewing Co. is getting ready to celebrate their 3rd anniversary in style, and if you are not already a “friend with benefits,” you may want to join right away. Of course, “Friends with benefits” is the name of the Greenbush mug club and following this year’s anniversary, the price is being raised from $40 for a lifetime membership to $60. Now, $60 for a lifetime membership is certainly still a steal, but if you are like me and have been thinking about joining up for awhile now, the $40 price-tag might just be the incentive to hop in the car and make the drive- at least this was my decision! (Note: Greenbush also was offering limited phone orders on the Mug Club for awhile just to help keep up with the increased demand.)

Recap of Michigan Brewers Guild 16th Annual Summer Beer Festival
Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park is the home to Michigan Brewers Guild’s Annual Summer Beer Festival, one of several events hosted throughout the year. I’ve previously attended the Winter Beer Festival in Comstock Park, but this was my first year to check out the long-running Summer Beer Fest, and like many of the Brewers Guild events this year’s event was a sellout with over 6000 attendees. Note: if planning to attend one of these events, be sure to book your hotel weeks if not months in advance!
