Founders Brewing Co. recently completed work on their latest expansion which began in late 2014. The new expansion gives Founders the footprint to brew up to 900,000 barrels of beer annually with over 55,000 square feet of addition including a new 300 bbl brew house. This 40 million dollar expansion was fueled largely just due to the increasing demand of Founders All Day IPA, their popular hoppy but sessionable beer first introduced by the brewery as a seasonal release back in 2012 but has quickly became their largest selling beer available on draft, 6-pack bottles, or 15-pack can releases.
The recent expansion has not slowed down Founders busy schedule of seasonal and speciality release beers in any way. In August, Founders released the latest in their Backstage Release Series with the ReDANKulous Imperial Red IPA and another release is anticipated yet this year. Founders has also recently released this year’s ArtPrize beer Spectra Trifecta which is a Kolsch style ale with chamomile, lemongrass, and ginger. Also another one of Founders mainstay releases will soon get added to their canning lineup which currently includes All Day and Centennial IPAs.

Founders will be holding their 12th Annual Harvest Party on Saturday, October 17th with an all day 21+ event starting at 11 a.m. The event will feature a full lineup of Founders hoppiest offerings including this year’s release of Harvest Ale. The cost is $10 and includes commemorative pint glass and first pour of Harvest (or other Class 1) Ale. This year’s music lineup includes several national touring bands including My God, The Heat, HONEYHONEY, and Nashville’s Nora Jane Struther’s & The Party Line.
