Gold medals for:
- Pin-Up Blonde (4.5 % ABV) – an American-style light beer with soft malt and hop flavors.
- Nectar des Dieux Tripel (9% ABV) -- a Belgian-style, golden ale with light fruity notes and a hint of sweetness.
A silver medal for:
- Dubbel Vision (7.5 % ABV) – a Belgian-style amber ale with candi-sugar and dried dark fruits.
Thanks to his distinct style, Van Meter has won more than 200 awards throughout his brewing career. Having started as a home brewer, Van Meter’s brewing philosophy is “quality over quantity” and “true to style, clean and as flavorful as possible.” He has been a member of the Bastone Brewery team for 10 years. Van Meter’s favorite style beer is Belgian -- of course -- so, it’s no surprise that Bastone cleaned up in that category at the NABA Awards.
