Brewery Vivant and Higher Grounds Trading Co releases new Higher Grains farmhouse ale
B CorpsBrewery Vivant and Higher Grounds Trading Co released today Higher Grains, a light-bodied, soft yellow farmhouse ale to celebrate the 2017 Gazelle Girl Half Marathon. This is the first time both B Corps have collaborated on a new product. B Corp is short for “benefit corporation,” which is a designation earned by companies that are focused on environmental and social change in addition to profit.

Brewery Vivant’s 6th Annual Wood-Aged Beer Festival celebrates art of craft brewing
Brewery Vivant presents their 6th annual Wood-Aged Beer Festival (WABF) on Saturday September 17th, 2016. Showcasing over 20 wood and wild beers, Brewery Vivant will take over its parking lot once again with tents, taps, and two sessions. Beers range from light to dark, sweet to sour, and rest in wood from bourbon barrels, wine barrels, scotch barrels, cognac foeders and more.

Solar Powered Beer! Brewery Vivant Invests In The Future: More Beer & More [Solar] Power
Brewery Vivant will celebrate another milestone in sustainability efforts with their recent installation of a 192 solar panel array atop their production brewery and adjoining pub. A ribbon cutting is planned for “Monk Club” Tuesday, July 19 at 4pm at the Pub. Mayor Bliss and other public officials will join owners, staff, monk club members and the public at large for ribbon cutting and official toast.

Plein de Vie, New Beer Series From Brewery Vivant
Brewery Vivant will launch three varieties of wood and wild-fermented beers to kick off their Plein de Vie (“full of life”) series on June 5 at the Brewery. The series includes wood barrel aged beers, wooden foeder ("food-er") aged beers, and stainless wild fermented beers. Plein de Vie will be available on draft and in 500ml glass bottles, and will be distributed throughout the brewery’s footprint of Michigan and Chicagoland.

Certified B Corp Breweries to Release “BREW the CHANGE” Collaborative Beer at Craft Brewers Conference
At the Craft Brewers Conference in Philadelphia this week, ten Certified B Corps (Benefit Corporations) will launch their collaborative beer. BREW the CHANGE was crafted together by the group at Beau’s All Natural Brewing last month. These breweries all believe that business can be a strong force for good in the world, and they’ve come together to celebrate this shared vision with a delicious beer made with B Corp certified ingredients. Certified by B Lab (the nonprofit behind B Corp), these for-profit companies meet higher standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Brewery Vivant brews “green beer” for St Patrick’s Day
In 2015, Brewery Vivant sent less than 1% of its waste to the Kent County incinerator. This and other facts related to the company’s environmental, financial, and community sustainability focus are to be unveiled Thursday, March 17. Brewery Vivant will release its fifth annual Beer The Change report on St. Patrick’s Day. It is Vivant’s version of the Irish themed holiday’s ubiquitous “green beer”.
