Stormcloud Brewing Company is celebrating Frankfort Beer Week with style. Paul Starr from I'm a Beer Hound is going to be coordinating all the tastings during Frankford Beer Week. This is a fabulous event for foodies and non foodies alike. Frankfort Beer week runs from October 6 until October 11th. Events all start at 6:30 and cost $20/person with 8oz pours.

Rockford Brewing Company recently teamed up with Amore Trattoria Italiana of Comstock Park for a 6-course dinner pairing a selection of mainstay and “drifter” brews with the culinary creations of award-winning chef (and co-owner) Jenna Arcidiacono. Both the restaurant and brewery source many of their ingredients locally, and this food and beer pairing was no exception using produce and meat from local farms and beer using such ingredients as locally sourced hops and malt.

Recap of Soup Spoon & Vine and Brew Rare Beer Dinner

We were privileged to receive an invite to the first ever collaborative beer dinner put on by The Soup Spoon Cafe in Lansing and Vine and Brew, the specialty wine, beer, and food shop in Okemos. The theme of the dinner was "rare beers", focusing on those pricey, hard to come by limited release beers that have become more and more popular as enthusiasm for craft beer has grown. Typically, these beers have very unique and interesting flavors derived from specific spices, fruits, or aging processes, so they lend the opportunity for some great pairings with food.
