Oktoberfest Dinner & Brew Cruise on MI Princess

This Saturday, August 13th from 3pm to 8pm is Beerfest on the Bridge, presented by the Portland Michigan Main Street Program. The Festival is hosted on Veterans Memorial Bridge in downtown Portland. Built in 1890, the bridge is the oldest known surviving example of a truss bridge in Michigan and it creates an attractive and historic entrance into main street in the 'City of Two Rivers'.

Last year Saugatuck Brewing Company got a jumpstart on their 10-year anniversary with the introduction of the Inaugural Barrel Aged Bootleg Bash. The event featured the bottle releases of 8 different barrel aged beers including the highly sought-after Barrel Aged Neapolitan Stout.

Saugatuck Brewing Company celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary on Sunday, June 14th with barrel aged bottle releases, food and drink specials, and party complete with live music and free appetizers. The main pub/restaurant was running 10 special $10 deals all days long which included $10 flights, food and merchandise deals, and $10 growlers with fill. The celebration party itself took started at 2:00 p.m. in the brewery’s Singapore Room and was free to attend.

Saugatuck Brewing Co. is pleased to announce partnerships with Ohio distributors - Beerco/City Beverage, Maple City Ice and Premium Beverage in completing full distribution coverage of the state of Ohio. With ongoing coverage in the Cleveland and Toledo markets since May 2014, SBC is now fully distributed in the Buckeye state.
In addition, SBC has signed with Beechwood Sales and Service of New Berlin, WI. Beechwood will begin distribution immediately for the full state of Wisconsin.

Saugatuck Brewing Co. recently opened up their brew house for their sold out Inaugural Barrel Aged Bootleg Bash. Tickets were $15 and included 10 drink tokens good for sample pours and a special event sampling glass. I was fortunate to be able to attend with some friends. Being able to hang out in the brew house was an enjoyable and unique opportunity. The Banquet Hall also featured a casual environment including live music.

SBC is pleased to announce Reverend Monk has been awarded Grand National Champion, Belgian/Abbey category of the Winter 2014-15 U.S. Beer Tasting Championships. The style earned the distinction by 1st being awarded “Best in the Midwest” before moving on to nationals where it was the 1st ever style to receive a #1 rating by all judges.

Friday, Nov. 21st - 7 PM, Crafts & Courses, a 5-course upscale pairing event will once again be hosted by Amy Sherman! Amy is a Culinary Expert for Spartan-Nash and WOTV, host of 'Great American Brew Trail' and owner of West Michigan Co-op and Farmlink. We're thrilled she'll be here for the evening.
