GQ Magazine (July 2012) declared Stella’s as having the “best burgers in America,” and you can try them for $6 during Happy Hour everyday from 4pm - 6 pm (and starting at 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays,) or even better for $5 from 6pm - 11pm every Thursday. Stella’s also has an amazing variety of vegetarian and vegan menu options and even a few gluten free choices. Also be sure to check out their entry in the official sandwich of Grand Rapids competition, the Grandwich, of which Stella’s offers a vegan, vegetarian, and carnivore version.
Michigan Beers? Stella’s has you covered. A dozen taps are featured including your favorite Michigan micros from Short’s, Bell’s, and Founders. I started out with the rotating tap, the Black(Eye) PA from Right Brain Brewery along with a bowl of the Spicy Black Bean Chili and a side of the Poor Man’s Hash. My guests went with the Government Cheese Stuffed Burgers, which proved to be more than enough so I also helped them finish off the complimentary spicy seasoned Chronic Fries, washing them down with a pint of Arcadia HopMouth Double IPA.
