Grand Rapid's Twister Rooster and New Crooked Goose Support Michigan Beer!

Looking for a place to go in Grand Rapids before a movie, or perhaps on your way to shopping or a concert at the Orbit Room? Or maybe just a place to have some great food and some great Michigan beers? Conveniently located on Beltline near the Celebration! Cinema Grand Rapids North & IMAX, Twisted Rooster just might be the place for you.
The bar features 18 taps from Michigan breweries including regular taps from New Holland, Bell's, Dark Horse, Founders and Short's. Vander Mill hard cider is available and also 6 rotating taps which lately has also included a tap from Brewery Vivant. Monday through Friday, 3 PM to 6 PM is Happy Hour, with $2.00 drafts and well drinks, along with $3.00 appetizers including a Founders Pale-Ale-Cheese Dip with baked Michigan cheddar. I took advantage of the draft special and had a couple of my favorite Michigan pints, Founders Reds Rye and Shorts Bellaire Brown, along with my dinner.

Like the taps, the menu is changes frequently as well, with the focus on the latest and the freshest local ingredients. I tried the Thai Chicken Salad, only mildly spicy but tasty with sliced radishes and fried rice noodles. Other popular favorites include the Byron Center Bison Burger and the Fish Tacos.

On June 11th, Twisted Rooster celebrate the grand opening of a second Grand Rapids location in Standale, MI; a new spin-off entitled Crooked Goose. This restaurant will have it's own distinct menu with a focus on grill cheese sandwiches. (The Beltline location's current specialty is mac & cheese.) Also, additional Twisted Rooster locations can be found in Belleville and Chesterfield.
