The beers available at the event were all of the bottled variety, primarily focusing on mainstays of the various breweries although a few seasonal and specialty beers were included as part of the selection. The Lounge itself offers 4 taps which are rotated frequently. The current draft selection (All Michigan beers,) includes Bells, Founders, and Shorts. Also popular here is the Happy Hour, every Monday through Friday from 4 to 7 PM, which include discounts on select drinks and appetizers. Every Thursday night from 7 PM to 10 PM is Sushi Night.
Participants were given a complimentary commemorative beer glass and three beer caps each to vote for their choice of favorite beer. I won't tell you which ones I voted for, but I can tell you that Short's very worthy Soft Parade appeared to be attracting many of the votes. Some of my personal favorites included Vivant's recent release Big Red Coq, Founder's Double Trouble, and Arcadia's B-Craft Black Double IPA.
Entertainment was provided by The Moses Mares Project with a blend of Latin funk and jazz, and light appetizers were provided by CityVū Bistro.
