The Filling Station is the Latest Brewery to Open in Traverse City

The Filling Station is the latest of several new breweries to open in the Traverse City area. Located in a former historic railroad depot with great with views of nearby Boardman Lake, 8 or more “tracks” of internationally themed beers are offered with styles ranging from Bacharach Golden to Dublin Stout. The expansive outdoor patio can accommodate up to one hundred beer thirsty travelers.
Cannonball Pizza: a vegetarian offering with Kalamata olives and roasted red peppersDebuting this past March to great demand, this brewpub features a variety of wood-fire grilled flat-bread pizzas. I tried the Cannonball, a vegetarian offering with Kalamata olives and roasted red peppers; very delicious with a pint of D.C. ESB as a companion. Staff was very friendly and went well out of their way to ensure a great experience was had by all. The menu also features several carnivore friendly options, plus a house made porter balsamic vinaigrette salad and the “S'More Caboose,” a roasted Nutella spread flatbread with chocolate, caramel, and marshmallow sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs.
