Debuting this past March to great demand, this brewpub features a variety of wood-fire grilled flat-bread pizzas. I tried the Cannonball, a vegetarian offering with Kalamata olives and roasted red peppers; very delicious with a pint of D.C. ESB as a companion. Staff was very friendly and went well out of their way to ensure a great experience was had by all. The menu also features several carnivore friendly options, plus a house made porter balsamic vinaigrette salad and the “S'More Caboose,” a roasted Nutella spread flatbread with chocolate, caramel, and marshmallow sprinkled with graham cracker crumbs.
Other breweries currently in the works in the Traverse City area include Terra Firma, which is a farm-based operation that will focus on environmentally friendly and agricultural sustainable beers, and Beggars Brewery, primarily a production facility with a small pub and 6 rotating taps, currently targeting a Labor Day opening weekend.
