Having announced their intention to open a brewery in Muskegon earlier this year, Unruly Brewing Co. has taken one step closer with this week’s announcement that a location has been determined. A brewery in Muskegon is long overdue, especially when you consider the close proximity to Grand Rapids (Beer City USA,) and also another great beer city Milwaukee via the Lake Express high-speed ferry.

Seasonal and speciality beers will be served along with mainstays that can be enjoyed if desired in an adjoining beer garden.

Other key components in place include the selection of the head brewmaster, Eric Hoffman, who along with Jeff Jacobson and Mark Gongalski, form the partnership behind the beer. Eric has already proven himself among the Muskegon homebrew community, being an active supporter and even having hosted the regional “Teach a Friend to Homebrew” day in Muskegon a couple years back, wowing many with his impressive Pumpkin Ale. The combination of excellent brews along with the great location should guarantee Muskegon a secure place on the Michigan beer map.
