Greenbush Brewing Company Located in Sawyer Michigan

Monday, June 11th marked the all-day celebration of Sawyer’s Greenbush Brewing Co. Located very conveniently off from highway 94 not too far from the Indiana border, I recently had a chance to stop in and have a few brews, sample some food, and chat a little with owner Scott Sullivan. The small taproom features a welcoming cozy atmosphere conducive to sharing some pints with friends.
Cabra Perdida, a powerful 11 % ABV blueberry Imperial Cream Stout My first beer was the “Loud Mouth Soup,” a tasty Belgian Whit style beer brewed with blood orange juice, coriander and peppercorns, while snacking on pita chips with garlic hummus. Greenbush does also offer soups, and toasted sandwiches to complement the beer along with a variety of snacks. Other excellent brews included the Cabra Perdida, a powerful 11 % ABV blueberry Imperial Cream Stout served in 10 oz snifter, and the Doomslayer, a maple Brown Ale.

A few of Greenbush Brewing Beer BottlesThe taproom is open 7 days a week from noon until 10 PM. (11 PM on the weekends.) A “friends with benefits” mug club is featured, and hundreds of such mugs hang from the ceiling above the bar. Growlers, bottles, and t-shirts are available. Greenbush beer is also available on tap at better beer bars throughout southwest Michigan, so if you haven’t had an opportunity to give them a try you have no excuse!
