Options for those looking for a fruit infused beer included Short’s Soft Parade and Right Brains Strawberry Fields. Some great IPA’s for those who seek out hoppy brews included Founders All Day and Dry Hopped IPA‘s, Cheap Date by Arcadia Ales, Hopknocker by Schmohz, and Huma Lupa Licious by Short’s. B-Craft Black by Arcadia Ales also made it to the festival, an unbelievable double black IPA. Great kick, great flavor. Bonecrusher by Schmohz and Breakfast Stout by Founders provided the rich, coffee flavored brews, while Cheboygans Lighthouse Amber filled the gap for those looking for an Amber ale North Peaks Nomad cider added that little bit of something different to the flavors of the festival, giving those who have not the opportunity to experience a traditional hard cider.
All in all it was the perfect brewfest. A reasonable entrance fee, nine breweries with a selection of beer styles, generous pours, live music, small town and just the right amount of festival goers. It makes it easier to enjoy your beer and keep your glass full when you’re only three or four deep in line, and with plenty of elbow room, no worries on spilling your beer!
