2nd Annual Barry County Brewfest Kick Off Unique Event Is Hosted In A Different Community Each Year
Written by Paul StarrWith Michigan’s craft beer industry continuing to expand annually, in 2016 Barry County got its first ‘taste’ of what the excitement is all about with the launch of the Barry County BrewFest. Held in downtown Middleville last August, the inaugural event attracted nearly 1,000 attendees from throughout the region – despite torrential rain and tornado warnings in neighboring counties.

More Bands, More Beer, More Burn at Burning Foot Beer Festival
Written by Aimee WestMuskegon’s Pere Marquette Beach will ignite on August 26, 2017, for the 3rd Annual Burning Foot Beer Festival. Serving as Michigan’s only barefoot beer festival on the sand, festival goers can enjoy some of the finest craft beer found in the Great Lakes region, revel in local art and food, groove to local and national music acts, and take in the beautiful shoreline of Lake Michigan.

Beer List for Beerfest On The Bridge In Portland This Weekend

We are happy to announce that the following 13 Michigan breweries and 2 Michigan Cideries, 1meadery and 1 winery will be participating in the first Beerfest On The Bridge located on the historic Veterns Memorial Bridge in downtown Portland. This festival will feature over 50 beers plus cider, mead and wine. We have something to please everyone from the beer enthusiast to the craft beer newcomer.

2nd Annual Beerfest on the Bridge coming back to Portland this weekend

This Saturday, August 13th from 3pm to 8pm is Beerfest on the Bridge, presented by the Portland Michigan Main Street Program. The Festival is hosted on Veterans Memorial Bridge in downtown Portland. Built in 1890, the bridge is the oldest known surviving example of a truss bridge in Michigan and it creates an attractive and historic entrance into main street in the 'City of Two Rivers'.

Hopstock to Celebrate Grand Rapids Area Breweries, Cideries, and Distilleries on Saturday, August 13th.
Written by Dan VanderKooiHopstock is a brand new festival being put on this year by the Beer City Brewer’s Guild and is featuring over 30 Grand Rapids breweries, area food trucks, and local bands. The event is scheduled for Saturday August, 13th at the Calder Plaza in downtown Grand Rapids from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The event will also include beer education sessions presented by Ben Darcie which are scheduled from 6:45 p.m to 7:15 p.m. and again at 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Beer, yoga and music will collide for a cause when Detroit’s own Bend + Brew begins at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at Downtown Boxing Gym, 6445 E. Vernor Hwy, Detroit. All those 21 and over are welcome to practice yoga, co-led by Sam Arin from Center for Yoga and Dennis Blender. The hour long class is meant to relax your mind and strengthen your body while music by Cooper Anstett inspires all participating.

Burning Foot Beer Festival returns to Pere Marquette Beach on August 27th
Written by Aimee WestBurning Foot Beer Festival is set to return to Pere Marquette beach in Muskegon on Saturday, August 27th from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. This marks the second year for the event after a very successful debut in 2015. This year’s event will bring together 50 breweries representing The Lakeshore Brewer’s Guild footprint which includes Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Also featured will be a beach themed food menu with local art and live music including both locally and nationally recognized bands.
