In proper Short’s Anniversary Extravaganza tradition, live music will be vibrating the streets all evening. The Accidentals, Vulfpeck, and Greensky Bluegrass will all make appearances at various times throughout the festival. Additionally, Joe Short will be making his annual ‘State of the Brewery’ address at 6pm. For a truly inspirational tale, make sure you are within earshot of Mr. Short.
What is an outdoor beer celebration without food? I’m glad you asked. The pub will be offering a limited menu indoors, including pizza by the slice, guacamole, and nachos, but guest vendors will also be in attendance. Woj’s Weiners, Pigs Eatin’ Ribs, Antrim Catering, Pita Cruiser, Terri’s Pretzels, and Moka will all have great beer accompaniments available for purchase.
The finer details: The Standard Rig ticket is $20 and includes a lanyard with commemorative ticket, a festival map/drinking guide, and one drink token. The Upgraded Rig ticket is $35 and includes a custom anniversary party fanny pack, a stainless steel Short’s beverage cup, a custom inaugural M.O.M.F (Michigan Only, Michigan Forever) patch, a commemorative ticket, a festival map/drinking guide, and one drink token.
Additional food and drink tokens can be purchased for $5. 50% of all proceeds go to the Village of Bellaire DDA.
Worried about drinking and driving? Don’t do it. A shuttle will be available for those who want to take advantage of sampling many great beers without worry. The Short’s Brewing Company website is full of more information about the shuttle and the festival in general.
Celebrations like this only come around once per year, be there or be square.
