Science is better with beer! During Lansing's first Astronomy on Tap event at the Beer Grotto, members of the public will have the opportunity to learn from local scientists about exciting topics in astronomy and astrophysics.
There will be two short presentations that will explore the fascinating theoretical nature of black holes and showcase the highest resolution images ever taken of the distant dwarf planet, Pluto.
Over the course of the evening, attendees will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle for a chance to win one of two large canvas prints of pictures taken by the Hubble Space Telescope.
This science-inspired and beer-fueled night will come to an end with an informal Q&A session, giving those present the opportunity to ask local astronomers any and all of their most burning questions about the cosmos.
