Downtown Holland takes Beer Hounds on a Groovewalk

Following last spring’s enjoyable Groovewalk, for the fall version, I went ahead and booked a hotel (the CityFlats) for the night so as to be able to more fully enjoy the experience. I recommend looking CityFlats up if ever looking for a place to stay in Holland, they do a great job. Also, CityFlats own CitySēn Lounge was one of the participating locations on the Groovewalk, being both the 1st and final stop of the GrooveXpress  bus which made the rounds of all 11 locations from 9 PM until 1:30 AM.

Seating was limited to 36 people and the event was well attended. The evening began with a welcome toast featuring Founders All Day IPA with ruby red grapefruit sorbet. Hank’s Cody Christensen was on hand to discuss the menu options and Marguex Bouwkamp from Founders introduced the beers and answered questions. For each course, Hank’s staff made the rounds with pitchers of the appropriate paired beer and made certain that no one left hungry (or thirsty!)
