Grand Rapids Brewing Company To Celebrate Second Anniversary With Limited-Edition Release Of Award-Winning Brews

Grand Rapids Brewing Company (GRBC), will celebrate its second anniversary with two limited-edition bottle releases, a special draft release, a special brunch buffet and drink specials all day, Saturday December 6th.
Only 150 bottles of the Philanthropist and Polish Eagle will be available for $15, ($13 for GRBC Mug Club members). A free GRBC 2-year-anniversary pint glass will accompany the first 100 bottles sold.
  • 2014 Philanthropist – Draft and limited edition bottle – A barleywine aged in bourbon barrels (GRBC anniversary brew)
  • 2014 Polish Eagle – Draft and limited edition bottle – An imperial porter aged in bourbon barrels (gold medal at 2013 World Beer Championship)
  • Empress Bliss – Draft only – 9 percent ABV version of GRBC’s Rosalynn Bliss Blonde (gold medal winner) brewed with organic mango puree, citra hops and mango tea

As part of the celebration, GRBC will pay tribute to its pre-prohibition heritage with $2 glasses of its classic lager, Silver Foam, all day.

The day kicks off with a $15 Brunch Buffet and GRBC’s famous build-your-own Bloody Mary bar for just $2 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

During the event, GRBC will be selling 2015 Mug Club memberships while they last. Mug Club membership costs $55 to renew and $65 for new members. Members receive a personalized GRBC mug that holds 19.5 ounces of beer. Mug Club Mondays get sweeter at GRBC in 2015 with 50 percent off all food along with $2 off all beers. Mug Club members always enjoy $1 off all beers, $2 off growler fills and exclusive access to tap and bottle releases.

GRBC recently, added new items to its menu which will be available all day at the anniversary party. Some of these features include:

  • Chicago Hot Beef – House-roasted Italian beef, au jus, spicy giardiniera and melted mozzarella on a French roll (served wet or dry)
  • Bat Outta Hell Meatloaf – House-made meatloaf, mashed potatoes and chicken gravy served open face on Texas toast
  • GRBC’s award-winning 5 Pepper Chili
Since GRBC opened on Dec. 5, 2012:
  • GRBC beers have won numerous national and International awards, including a Silver Medal at the World Beer Cup for Distinguished Eagle and 3rd Best in Show at the National Organic Beer Challenge for John Ball Brown.
  • More than 90 percent of GRBC’s solid waste is diverted from landfills
  • The brewery composts 100 percent of its spent grains, diverting it from landfills.
