Cranker’s Brewery GR celebrated Grand Opening with week-long celebration!

While the Big Rapids Cranker’s location celebrated it’s one-year anniversary earlier this year, the Grand Rapids location quietly installed it’s own nano-brewery and began selling and serving it’s own beers along with the award-winning signature brews from the Big Rapids brewing headquarters.
Over the course of the last few months, the location has made the transition piece-by-piece, including an new bar, menu, and signage culminating in a week-long celebration of Cranker’ Craft beer.

Being a diner, the celebration started early with 1/2 off breakfast every day from 8-9 AM, while all day long the trademark Detroit-Style coney dogs were 99 cents. Grand Rapids brewed batches of beer were tapped all week long including a Pumpkin Porter and the Citra Galaxy Pale Ale, while growlers of staple Big Rapids beers were available to be filled at half off normal prices. The celebration also included free pints with dinners and a new mug club limited at 24 initial memberships. (I know most of these were sold off during the initial week, but it is possible a few remain!)

The Mount Pleasant location is last of the Cranker restaurants scheduled for transformation so be sure to keep an eye out there for beer soon as well. In the meantime, if you’ve not enjoyed a Cranker’s beer either on tap or in bottle, make sure to check for it at your better beer bars and stores. The Ambrosia Honey Kolsch I can not more highly recommend, and the Bulldog Red Irish Ale is the latest to be available via 6-packs. And by all means, do not pass up an opportunity to stop into a nearby Cranker’s Restaurant and Brewery soon.
