American Fifth Spirits, Lansing's first distillery, will launch its newest product, Capital Gin, on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the American Fifth Spirits Tasting Room. A special release party is set for the distillery's Crystal Club members on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Made from seven botanicals including juniper, ginger and lemon peel, Capital Gin overlays spices with fruity overtones for an innovative yet classic sensation to match the likes of the craft distillery industry.

“Capital Gin has a flavor profile traditional gin drinkers will enjoy because of the juniper and citrus flavors, and I hope to attract non-gin drinkers with the addition of non-traditional flavor componets," Rick Wyble, head distiller said of its mixture.

As a true Lansing-made product, Capital Gin proudly boast its city pride on the label, which features the Capital rotunda.

“We thought it's something uniquely Lansing," Wyble said of the design. "The rotunda is such an iconic feature of the building."   In conjunction with Tuesday's Capital Gin release, the Tasting Room will host a new selecion of cocktails and bottles available for purchase. 750  ml bottles are available for $35.00 and 375ml bottles can be purchased for $20.00. Captial Gin will be available in select stores, restaurants and bars in early December.

American Fifth Spirits is home to the Lansing's first ever distillery. The Tasting Room is open Monday through Friday from 4 P.M., to midnight, and on Saturday from noon to midnight. American Fifth Spirits is also known for its classic HUE Vodka and unaged Fat Five Whiskey.
