
Over 20 breweries and cideries will be joining for this year’s
Vander Fest to be held this Saturday, October 1st at Vander Mill’s Spring Lake location at 14921 Cleveland St. This year’s lineup will include some of West Michigan and Grand Rapid’s finest beers and ciders including the likes of New Holland Brewing Co., Brewery Vivant, and Odd Side Ales. The event is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and is a rain or shine event featuring local food vendors and live music.
This year’s food vendors include Spring Lake’s Top Butcher Shoppe and BBQ which will be featuring Dutch Girl Brewery Beer Brats, as well as pulled pork and cheesy potatoes. Grand Haven’s Arturo’s Tacos will also be on site with authentic Mexican fare. Music for this year’s event will be provided by DJ Nick Awesome and Social Bones. Beverage options from outside West Michigan include Cleveland’s Great Lakes Brewing Co. and also offered will be mead selections from Cellarmans and B. Nektar both hailing from East Michigan.
This year’s ticket sales will be limited to 1,000 so advanced ticket purchases are encouraged. General admission is $35 in advance and $40 at the door. This includes 8 beverage sample tickets along with souvenir glass. The link for online sales is: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2589142
Also available are $85 VIP tickets which include a reserved table, designated server, and food from Vander Mill. Proceeds from this year’s Vander Fest are to benefit the Michigan Cider Association.
