Oktoberfest Dinner & Brew Cruise on MI Princess

On Saturday, November 16th the loyal ladies from the Beer Houndettes will be holding a Lansing area craft beer tour. In addition, they will be joined by the Detroit Draft Divas and PussyCat Beer Guild from Grand Rapids who are helping promote the launch of the new ladies beer club in Lansing. 

Mr. Biscuits, Lil Wheezy, Stray Cat Street Fighting, Yer My Boy Blue and MMMKAY will be among Short’s Brewing Co.’s colorful cast of limited-edition and experimental beers on tap during the world record-breaking tap takeover at  HopCat – East Lansing’s grand opening  Thursday, Aug. 22.

HopCat – East Lansing will open its doors and tap the kegs in record-setting fashion on Thursday, Aug. 22. For one day only, the restaurant and bar, which will feature 100 craft beers on tap (Michigan’s largest selection of draft beer), will team up with Short’s Brewing Co. of Bellaire, Michigan to host the most brews on tap at one bar from a single brewery.

Today in East Lansing, Hop Bine Planting marks the start of construction for HopCat. If you are unfamiliar with HopCat in Grand Rapids, it is a great craft beer bar with 48 taps that are mostly Michigan beers. It has consistently been rated one of the best beer bars in the country by Beer Advocate magazine, RateBeer.com and CraftBeer.com.
