Arclight Brewery Company in Watervliet celebrates One Year Anniversary

Arclight Brewing Company in Watervliet recently celebrated their one year anniversary with an all day extravaganza which included a limited bottle release and commemorative merchandise. The brewery which first opened on July 21st of 2014 chose to celebrate this year’s anniversary on Saturday, July 25th. Special releases included American Sour Ales barrel aged for one year as well as t-shirts printed with the date of the anniversary celebration. Arclight also recently opened up a new patio with a hop garden behind the brewery.
Arclight’s sour program has featured two beers so far with limited bottle releases, the first of which was Opus Framboise an American Sour ale aged with raspberries for the anniversary weekend. Subsequently also released in limited supplies (and on tap) is the Opus Kriek Sour Ale aged with cherries. In addition to the sour releases, the brewery has also tapped some beers aged in Elijah Craig 12 year old bourbon barrels which have included Hail to the Darkness Imperial Porter as well as Swayze B Crazy Imperial Golden Java Milk Stout. Also currently on tap at the brewery is their line of house made sodas which can be paired with the Arclight Cream Ale for a series of different shandys. Other current favorites on tap include the Fornication Honey Double IPA and the Legendary Milk Stout.

Arclight is B.Y.O.F. (Bring Your Own Food,) but does feature a snack menu which includes an assortment of nuts and chocolates. Wine can also be brought in with a $7 corking fee. Food trucks are often featured on Fridays and Saturdays with Camzie’s mobile wood-fired pizza being a current favorite. The brewery has a food truck calendar posted on their website so one can plan ahead. Arclight’s website is and the brewery is currently open 7 days a week 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
