The Launch of the Highly Anticipated Beer Hound Membership Card

The time has come for the launch of the Beerhound Membership card. This is a new and exciting way for all the loyal Howling Hounds across Michigan to actively participate in the Beerhound experience and to save money on food and merchandise while doing it at several dozen bars, restaurants, and breweries around the state.

We're thrilled and excited to announce the upcoming release of our official Beerhound Membership Card. This is a new way to both take advantage of and actively participate in your Beerhound status by saving money when you dine or shop at participating restaurants, bars, and breweries around the state. Each venue will feature a unique special of their own which will be a discount off food or merchandise. Becoming a cardholder is simple--purchase a membership card through Beer Hound site and start receiving membership benefits. The member card is an annual membership and we are offering it for $20 alone or membership, t-shirt, and card for $35. We have 40 locations on board right now and are shooting for 50 by the January 21 launch. Even after it launches, we hope to get as many as 100 locations on the card with statewide coverage.

Enter to Win 2 Tickets to SOLD OUT Winter Beer Fest!

In conjunction with Motor City Brew Tours, we will be giving away 2 free tickets to the upcoming Winter Beer Festival held at Fifth Third Ballpark in Grand Rapids. This festival, along with its summer version held in Ypsilanti, are the premier annual beer events in Michigan. Craft breweries from all over the world are will be in attendance offering samples and other exciting giveaways. It is also a unique experience in that it is held in the West Michigan Whitecaps Ballpark, so dressing warm is very important as this is all-day, outdoor event. Tickets this year sold out in less then a day (yeah), so if you don't already have them, this might be your only shot at scoring a couple.

I'm a Beer Hound 2 Year Anniversary Beer Dinner at Soup Spoon Cafe!

It's been two whole years since we started the Beer Hound journey, and we are proud to have become one of the leading promoters of all things Michigan Beer. With the help of our sponsors, staff, and loyal social-media following, we have been able to actively and consistently participate in Michigan beer festivals, become close friends with a large number of brewers throughout the state, attend exclusive beer dinners, hold some fantastic events of our own, and generally get to meet lots of great people who love beer. It hasn't always been easy, but we are thrilled with how the project has grown and are very excited for what the future holds, including the soon to be launched Beer Hound Membership Card.

Today Watch Episode 4 of I'm a Beer Hound TV Show on MY18

On this week's show, we'll be travelling to dowtown Detroit to hang out with the guys from Atwater Brewery. We really like Atwater's beer and general concept, so we are pumped about spending some time with them at their facility. We will also be showing some more footage from the inagural Lansing Beer Week, this time from the Craft Beer Riverboat Cruise that took place on the Michigan Riverboat Princess on the Grand River in Lansing.

On this Beerhound TV episode, we will be visiting with Chas from Schmohz Brewing at their restaurant & brewpub in Grand Rapids.
Schmohz is another one of the small, but charming and soulful brewing operations in Michigan. Open since 2004, they have been making solid beer and were an important part of Grand Rapids winning the title "Beer City USA" this year. We really like Chas, and we are excited to feature him and his business on the show.
Also on this week's show will be some live footage from Retailer Days and the Tap Takeovers at Crunchy's & Beggar's Banquet, two events making up the inaugural Lansing Beer Week. We were proud to help create and sponsor this week-long celebration of the craft beer culture in Lansing, so we hope enjoy this and future footage from it.
Finally, we will be sharing a few minutes from our visit to Darkhorse Brewery for their "Chicken Wing Thing", an event celebrating beer and, yes, chicken wings.
